Is healthcare a right or a privilege – or both?

1 year, 4 months ago

If you believe that healthcare is a right, then how should Clinicians exercise or manifest this “right” to patients pre/at/post care delivery?

If you believe that healthcare is a privilege, then how should Clinicians exercise or manifest this “privilege” differently? What are your perspectives in how it is a privilege rather than a right? Who bestows this right to patients and how? Where does it come from? If it is a privilege, do we have a right to be sick as human beings? If yes, do we then have the right to be cured or treated? Or is it that we are privileged to be treated or cured? If you believe that is both, how so?

Healthcare is supposed to be a human right but because of the inequalities it has became a privilege.
